OK, got the following from my father in-law.

        IS THIS GREAT? OR WHAT!

TOP THIS ONE FOR A SPEEDING TICKET IN KINGSVILLE, TEXAS

Two Texas Highway Patrol Officers were conducting speeding enforcement on Highway 77, just south of Kingsville, Texas.
One of the officers was using a hand-held radar device to check speeding vehicles approaching the town of Kingsville.
The officers were suddenly surprised when the radar gun began reading 300 miles per hour and climbing.
The officer attempted to reset the radar gun, but it would not reset and then it suddenly turned off.

Just then a deafening roar over the mesquite tree tops on Highway 77 revealed that the radar had in fact, locked on to a USMC F/A-18 Hornet which was engaged in a low-flying exercise near its Naval Air home base location in Kingsville.
Back at the Texas Highway Patrol Headquarters in Corpus Christi the Patrol Captain fired off a complaint to the U. S. Naval Base Commander in Kingsville for shutting down his equipment.

The reply came back in true USMC style:
"Thank you for your letter . . .
"You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Hornet had detected the presence of, and subsequently locked on to, your hostile radar equipment and automatically sent a jamming signal back to it, which is why it shut down."

"Furthermore, an air-to-ground missile aboard the fully armed aircraft had also automatically locked on to your equipment's location."

"Fortunately, the marine pilot flying the Hornet recognized the situation for what it was, quickly responded to the missile system alert status and was able to override the automated defense system before the missile was launched to destroy the hostile radar position on the side of Highway 77, south of Kingsville."

"The pilot suggests you cover your mouths when swearing at them, since the video systems on these jets are very high tech."
"Sergeant Johnson, the officer holding the radar gun, should get his dentist to check his left molar. It appears the filling is loose.

Also, the snap is broken on his holster."

Yeah, so according to the CDC and the WHO that isn't going to cut it. Crown Royal is 80 proof, or 40% ABV. Hand sanitizer needs to be at least 60% ABV. You're going to need something that is at least 120 proof. This is close - https://www.breakingbourbon.com/revi...imited-edition

Yeah, so for my 60th birthday (5 years ago) a few friends chipped in and bought me a bottle of George T. Stagg bourbon. It was 138 proof. Too bad I drank it all since then. It's the only whiskey I ever put water in. It was just too hot without a little branch.

I didn't say using booze to make hand sanitizer was a GOOD idea. When did that stop people? A retired chemistry professor and I have already tried to explain to people what "proof" and alcohol content have to do with each other.

          • Just about anything with smoke and/or grilled is better.

Last night I had this dream where Shrek was turned into a lady ogre and Fiona asked if it was cool with her and she said "Yes, I am bishrekual." And I woke up crying. . .

I like my whisky like I like my men:

First woman: twice my age and from Scotland.

Second woman: smokey, full=bodied and leaves you gasping a little.

Third woman: --left in an oak barrel for at least 3 years with very little oxygen.

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy, picked out a box of tampons, and proceeded to the checkout counter. The man at the counter asked the older boy, “Son, how old are you?”

              “Eight” the boy replied.

The man continued, “Do you know what these are used for?”

The boy replied, “Not exactly, but they aren’t for me. They’re for him… He’s my brother. He’s four. We saw on TV that if you use these, you will be able to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can’t do either.”

In the States they are banning events of 50 or more. Religious events haven't been specifically mentioned, but they certainly fall under that category.

I serve 2 little congregations. Yesterday, if you added them together we would have been under 50. Depends on the state, some governors have mentioned religious gatherings. In some online clergy groups some have questioned whether anyone can tell us not to meet, with separation of church and state. OTOH, Bishops and the equivalent have been recommending not meeting. What a lot of us are thinking of is that we can see missing a few Sundays, but Holy Week and Easter are just a month away.

We were trying to have a baby at the time, but our first child was born nine months after a huge blizzard shut everything down in Michigan. 27 babies were born over two days in a relatively small community. I was in seminary, and we moved away a couple of years later, but I often wonder what havoc it caused in the school system in the following years.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

              the good one grill

The Good-One Open Range is a charcoal grill with an offset smoke chamber attached. It is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. The grill sits low in front and doubles as a firebox for the smoke chamber which is spliced on above and behind so it can work like a horizontal offset smoker only better. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.
