My wife and had the good fortune of spending some time in New Orleans this spring where we discovered Crystal Hot Sauce. I do love it, though it's a stretch to call it "hot". Very flavorful and mild enough you can use a lot. If you need more heat, a few dashes of your favorite scorcher can be used to jack up the burn.
Here's a suggestion for a good BBQ oyster topper and wing sauce:
Melt one stick of butter, add a few cloves of minced garlic, 2 T of lemon juice, 1/4 c Crystal, 1/4 c grated Parmesan, and 2 T honey, salt and pepper to taste. Crack open them hot oysters, dump on some of the mixture, and slurp away!
Anyone else out there a Crystal fan?
