We have two weber kettle grills (one LARGE and one small/average), the SnS and the Weber Smokey Mountain 18" smoker. We use both natural lump charcoal and KNB for smoking and measure our temps with a Maverick 733, thermopen and MK4. Favorite beer depends on what is cooking (alt answer is yes).

Pit Boss true dat, I like her to like the whiskey
smarkley Wow! Awesome info. You are the man. I knew that about the 51% corn bourbon law, and I knew crown was a blend, and a good one at that. But I appreciate all that extra info. I could talk about inhalers with some authority but that's not nearly as interesting, not even under the influence of whiskey!

We have a Meathead and a Breadhead. I think smarkley is now our "WhiskeyHead"!

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
Danjohnston949 I hope your ribs turns out great but that Sam Adams beer is the nastiest beer that I have ever taste. I bought a case of it at Sam's club last Friday and I took a sip of one on Saturday and pour rest of the bottle down the sink. Here's what I had...

If you prefer bud light I can promise you you won't like cream stout, it will taste like a cross between dark espresso, chocolate, and Quaker State 10w30 to you. It's a sipping beer, deff not a guzzler. To stout fans it's very good though. Boston Lager is very flavorful, but thick by comparison to mass produced pilsners like bud.

4:45 update, Sauced the ribs with a local Hickory BBQ Sauce made by The Blue Moon, Hitterdahl MN and Spritzed them again! Boys and Girls I am ashamed to be Associating with a crowd that thinks Bud Light is beer, or that would call any thing but Boston Lager from Sam Adams Beer. Now when it comes to licker I'll take mine from a Mason Jar, Thank You! Dan
