Hi guys & gals. It has been.... well, summer. and lots going on. seems there is this whole thing called "Outside" which, apparently, includes more stuff than just my "Outside Cooking Equipment". Here's me, completely SHOCKED! I thought Outside was JUST to room on my house with REALLY big windows where I kept my smoking & grilling stuff. WHO KNEW???
Anyway, it has be an eventful summer with friends and enemies both being made. no need for details. suffice it to say that, "Stuff"
So, tomorrow is the official start of Baking Season!! and over the summer, I have been organizing (and I use the term VERY loosely) increasing my toy chest, picking up new reading material and just hoping the thermometer on the wall would PLEASE drift downwards.
When it is too warm to cook, I read about cooking. Over the summer, I bought my new Sous Vide (BTW< Anova is offering another $50 discount using the coupon code WIFI) and I have been having fun with that. I bought a Gourmet Whipper Bottle. Stainless ISI whipper bottle for everything from soda to whipped cram to various batters and such. All I need now is a plastic Gold Tee and I'm making Krispy Kreme donuts.the Ruhlman shelf in my 'library' (read the various stacks and stacks of books around my favorite chair) has been growing, new techniques studied and ready to dive into cooking indoors, again.
So, what is everyone waiting to come off the smoker while we sit and chat and kill time online, today?
