Okay, brand spankin' new member. I've been using Weber kettles, those I salvaged from the curb side, for a number of years until this spring when I went all out (for me anyway) and bought a new Weber Master Touch. I love this grill. Now I find my self having ditched my mechanical thermometer and ordered a thermo-pop and a maverick 732. I even bit the bullet and set aside my weber charcoal baskets and bricks and just ordered a slow and sear. The reviews from you guys are too good, making a guy pry open his wallet like that. Thank goodness for whiskey & coke. Have a great holiday weekend.

We have two weber kettle grills (one LARGE and one small/average), the SnS and the Weber Smokey Mountain 18" smoker. We use both natural lump charcoal and KNB for smoking and measure our temps with a Maverick 733, thermopen and MK4. Favorite beer depends on what is cooking (alt answer is yes).
WELCOME!!
The addition of the thermo-pop, maverick and SnS will save cooks, and enhance your cooking/eating experience. At least that is my experience! But that is about all I've purchased!
2racks of BB ribs have been on for about four hours i. My SnSd Weber.
Hope you get the benefit of this site that I have, and as much fun!

The whiskey & coke is a close second to my worship of the bovine pectoral muscle. There really can't be one without the other

Welcome to the Pit @w0ng
The Weber Kettle, the SnS and your Maverick 732 is a ménage a trois blessed by the BBQ god's. You might consider acquiring a set of grill grates.
Then there's nothing you can't cook to masterful perfection.
Enjoy your time here learning.😎Last edited by Breadhead; September 6, 2015, 02:34 PM.
