I ordered a small goat yesterday and will be roasting this weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions/techniques/warnings, etc. I have done whole pigs, and whole fish, but not whole goats. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Roasted Whole Goat

First off, WOW and I am super jealous. I have had whole roasted goat once, but never cooked it. My Turkish friend did it on a big spit setup over a tray of hot coals out in the open and just turned that baby constantly (everyone took turns). He also basted it pretty regularly (at least every 10 min) with butter, lemon juice, and oregano, and salted it about every hour. It was fabulous, and I'd love to eat it again, but afraid that's all I can say!
