If the deal is right a couple aftermarket parts don’t hurt so bad. Plus those parts are harder to notice than the cooker itself ;-)

I might take a chance on it. Im sure my wife won't notice another cooker in the car port

My brother bought a 700s and has since bought a new PID controller, smoke stack and heavy D deflector from Smokedaddy to get it got hold temps. It ran hot always before that.

I’d take it. The challenge I have heard is inconsistent temps across the grill and they can be wildly off. However, they are built very well for the price point and have good customer service with a 5 year warranty. I think the warranty might transfer so it could be worth investigating.

i understand some folks install PID controllers from third parties that really help.

Anyone familiar with Pit Boss pellet poopers?

One of my neighbors is selling one cheap bc they turned vegan. If I were a better neighbor I'd bring them some ribs and convert them back.

Has anyone used the Austin model? Or familiar with the brand? I know they're fairly cheap for pellet poopers. What's their biggest short coming? Do they leak? Do they not keep temp?
Do they have flaws that can fixed with cheap mods?

I seem to have second hand MCS!
