PaynTrain this is the product we used to stain and seal the deck https://www.readyseal.com/
It worked extremely well and repels water like a beast. Brought out the color variations of the wood nicely too. The mats I found at Home Depot. I do like the idea Attjack brought up with the large pavers. Definitely more "hot coal resistant".

A friend of mine's deck has large pavers instead of wood.

Hulagn1971 What you like for grill floor mats/deck stain? My Blackstone messes up my deck pretty bad, looking for suggestions. I want to get mats, but also finish the newly built deck in something grease resistant. Thanks!

We moved in the house in 2010. We had been wanting to tear out the original deck which was just a small builder grade and replace it with a larger outdoor cooking and living space. Finally got it done last summer and had it stained with a couple coats about a month ago. Still adding furniture, umbrellas and have 2 Coolaroo shade sails to install over the pergola if the rain would ever quit . Need to get some trailing flowers in the boxes up top as well. Wife is really enjoying decorating it.

This is what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks, when the weather cooperated. Still needs flowers in the flower beds, but at least my grills have a home. The table and chairs have been stacked against the side of the house for the past year. Now it's on to figuring out what I'm going to do at our own home. This is the parsonage. It's interesting to see the changes I ended up making from my original plan. Every cooker in my drawing is no longer in the outdoor kitchen.

The only grill in the lineup I haven't used is the Chargriller Duo. It's been in storage at my house for a year and a half now, and I uncovered it this summer to check on it for my son-in-law, and found the burners all rusty and mold all over the gas grill side. Sadly he only used it a year before dumping it here in storage, so it just goes to show that sometimes you get what you pay for with such things. I've about convinced him to get a 26" kettle once they buy a house.

You can purchase 3-5 inexpensive indoor TV's for the cost of the outdoor specific. I am on year 9 of our outdoor space. I am on my second TV's. I'm way ahead and the TV's are bigger and nicer than I would have purchased 9 years ago.

That's what you call a line up!
I feel you with that weather, just up 231 in Murfreesboro we have the same.
BTW, I'm adding a T&K reverse flow to mine in a couple weeks!

That is pretty impressive even if they aren't all yours. So when the owners come get them, you can tell the better half the side of the house is lonely, you need to get a few more of your own...

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

Placeholder

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

Placeholder

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.
