    BBQ News July 2021

Here is this month’s digital issue to Barbecue News magazine. Barbecue News is available in print for $30/year and digital version is $15/year (and you get the digital version included in your Pitmaster Club membership which is only $23.95/year).

Founded in 1989, Barbecue News is the only magazine devoted to barbecue and it features columns from BBQ Hall of Famers Ardie Davis and Paul Kirk, recipes, news from BBQ associations, a calendar of events, a restaurant guide, book reviews, and ruminations by other experts including the team at AmazingRibs.com. The digital version is especially cool because it is interactive. Many articles and ads are clickable linking you to more info.

You can enlarge the page, turn the page, view thumbnails, bookmark pages, and search. But please note: This is a full size magazine and it is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer. It works OK on tablets, but the viewing area and navigation is less than ideal on smartphones. There is nothing we can do to make it better. It is just a fact of life that the internet is much better on larger screens and more powerful browsers.

FWIW, I just went through it on my iPad. The magazine was just like any other I read from the Kindle App. Great read! Loaded quickly, no problem navigating. I can see, though, on a smartphone it would be cumbersome……

Alas, no, it is not compatible with kindle. It is available only as a flipbook.

Meathead, Congratulations on being inducted into the BBQ Hall of Fame! Well deserved. BTW - last week I ordered your book via amazon, should get it later this week. Is there any way I can send it to you for your signature?

        Thanks,

        Ben

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker, placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side. Click here to read our complete review.

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It’s among the best bargains for a smoker in the world. This baby cooks circles around cheap offset smokers because temperature control is so much easier. Click here to read our detailed review and the raves from people who own them.
