As in the Texas MU ( not to be confused with ATM, Hook 'em, Horns!), it really is about getting together, that's why I went the first time, the second time, and very likely to this one.

I am starting to reach out to possibilities with cabins, or very good hotel areas. We do not have bbq spots in LaCrosse other then my driveway… lol (sadly, honestly, other then like. Famous Dave’s, that is it!) . But, I would so love to get together and meat as many of you as I could. Even if Panhead John has to cook for us… eeek!

Troutman must have been deeper in the bag than I realized. I was not tipping strippers in Austin......................it was only a few miles up the road in Lockhart.............I know how to drink responsibly unlike those kids I was with.

Well I think we hijacked the Wisconsin Meat-up thread (crazy Texans) but wanted you all to know that I bought an expensive bottle of Scotch and will be bringing a sensible bottle of Gin to wash it down with to Rockdale 2.0. I'm gettin' ready !!!!!

I will vouch for Troutman being the last man standing. Uncle Bob brought a very nice jug of sippin whiskey that made several rounds amongst 4 of us or so. We ran out of that and Panhead John graciously broke out some brown-tinted turpentine that made several more rounds amongst us. I think the turpentine did me in and when I left well after midnight Troutman was banging his empty glass on the table hollering "WET MY DRINK YOU DAMN FOOLS!"

Troutman You didn’t hurt my feelings at all you stupid bastard. I just don’t want people thinking I was drunk and falling down. Hell, I do that sober.

Now as to that Uncle Bob guy. He has that crabby old man persona but get some sippin' whiskey in him and what a wild man !!! He was tipping strippers over at some Austin bar when I finally caught up with him. Had to drag him back to the motel before Lee found out he was missing !!!

OK well I think I hurt Panhead John 's feelings so I'll confess, he didn't actually fall down. But after drinking copious amounts of Coors Lite he was a little tipsy. Again the Big Boys hung on while others went to bed. Sorry John, please forgive me, I don't need cancelling again ....

The answer bbqLuv is HELL YEA. I was the last man standing on Friday night, Panhead kicked my ass out of his suite so he could enjoy his sippy cup and take his widdle nappy.

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.

Blackstone Rangetop Combo: Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, grilled cheese, and so much more. And why deep fry indoors when you can avoid the smell and mess by doing it outside!

Finally, A Great Portable Pellet Smoker

Green Mountain’s portable Davy Crockett Pellet Smoker is one mean tailgating and picnic machine. But it’s also gaining popularity with people who want to add a small, set it and forget it pellet smoker to their backyard arsenal. And with their WiFi capabilities you can control and monitor Davy Crocket from your smart phone or laptop.

Comprehensive Temperature Magnet With 80+ Important Temps

Amazingribs.com temperature magnet
Winner of the National BBQ Association’s product of the year award. This 8.5″ x 11″ magnet contains more that 80 benchmark temperatures for meats (both USDA recommended temps as well as the temps chefs recommend), fats and oils, sugars, sous vide, eggs, collagens, wood combustion, breads, and more. Although it is not certified as all-weather, we have tested it outdoors in Chicago weather and it has not delaminated in three years, but there is minor fading.

Grilla Pellet Smoker proves good things come in small packages

We always liked Grilla. The small 31.5″ x 29.5″ footprint makes it ideal for use where BBQ space is limited, as on a condo patio.

Is This Superb Charcoal Grill A Kamado Killer?

The PK-360, with 360 square inches of cooking space, this rust free, cast aluminum charcoal grill is durable and easy to use. Four-way venting means it’s easy to set up for two zone cooking with more control than single vent Kamado grills. It is beautifully designed, completely portable, and much easier to set up for 2-zone cooking than any round kamado.
