I think June is better than May. If it were me, I'd just set the date, and let people work it out best they can. Having a fixed date would be better for those of us that have to request time off.

You have beer. Do you have a dairy? Do you have brats? Walleye?

There is a barbecue comp within 10 miles of LaC in early June. we have lot’s of offerings in our down town, which is where I suggest a hotel room., we have a few great restaurants, and about 80 bars in our down town. We could also do a cocktail hour in our driveway. We also have one of the absolute impressive guitar stores you will ever go in, we have microbreweries, distilleries, and so much. Looking forward

I will call and get some Hotel pricing, and soon offering possible stops and enjoyment here in the La C.

I feel the same way. May can still be less then pleasant in May.

I do have commitments all summer but not every weekend. Figure out a date and if it fits, I will surely be there plus one, he's not a member but lurks around when everyone is sleeping
I'm more partial to June, weather is better and a little more stable comparatively speaking...

As an FYI, what we ended up finding out about in our first Texas Meat-up was DO NOT plan to cook. First of all consider this what it is, a meet and greet vacation. Although you'll have everyone committed to helping with cooking, it will invariably end up being is a hand full of folks doing the actual work while everyone else stands around sipping cold snacks. Just a word of advice, take it or leave it.Last edited by Troutman; February 7, 2022, 11:12 AM.

Black99vette I saw your comment from today, and re-read your original post from Oct 4. I had an epiphany regarding 'Microsoft Teams' = 'Microsoft Meats'! They are making software that will let you not only watch the next MeatUp, but taste it as well. Even with three little ones in diapers!

Yah, that's the joke around here. I'll stop buying kids diapers and start buying adult ones!
