    Map Of Where Our Members Are

    We now have an interactive map of the globe which details where all of our members reside.

    Sample pic (this is not interactive, it is just a pic. For the interactive map, click the link above):

    (Don't worry- NO ONE'S name, username, streets or addresses are shared with anyone. This map simply shows where an anonymous member is on a city/postal code-level only.)

    To use: Numbered circles represent the # of members in that area. Hover your mouse over a colored point. An outline will pop up. Click it to zoom in on that area. Repeat.

    Clicking will zoom in until you see single 'pig head logo' points, like you see in NE Canada in the graphic above. This represents a single member in that given area. Click the pig head logo to see that city where an anonymous member lives.

    You can use the zoom controls to zoom in or out manually. Double clicking/tapping will zoom in as well. You can click & drag to move the map at any zoom level.

    Alas, we cannot share with you the names of people near you for privacy issues. But you can post a topic "Anybody near My Home Town want to get together?"

                  Depending on which way your piggy is off, I used to live just north of 270, north of where it's placed on the map.

                        Okay, thank you Ray. I understand now that it's just meant to show how many people are in a town, not the location of the people in that town. I am probably represented since there are three piggies in my locale.

                        Yeah. Mine is missing as well. The closest one points into Culver City but is marked as Plumas Lake - never heard of it. Be nice to have member handles for the piggy. I'm in Los Angeles 90064 just northeast of the 405/10 fwy junction.

                        How incredibly cool! Now I need to recruit some new members from Sweden. Norway has 5 members, Sweden only 2. Dang it, Elton's BBQ, what's the trick ?

                        This is cool, but for the 3 in my town, none of the markers are within miles of me. Maybe its just generalized, and not dropping the marker near my actual address? Or maybe I don't count....

                          Yeah Steve R. I get that - but its weird that the 3 it DOES show seem to be in neighborhoods - just not mine.

                          Yeah, there isn’t one in my zip code. One for City of Chicago, but way south of here. One not too far, but calls itself something other than Chicago.

                          The markers are not on each address. that would give away too much info. The markers are for city/state/zip. So if more that one person lives in the same city, only on marker shows (should be in the center of town).
