Before you ask a question, you should use the search features to see if it has been asked before. If you cannot find a topic that discusses your question or concern, it's more than ok to post your question, even if you think it's a common one like "How long should my ribs take?". We will never scold you for posting a topic that's already been posted, however, we may link you to an older thread so you can benefit from the previous posts and commentary therein.
To post a new "topic" follow these steps:
First, find the proper channel to place your post.
Click the "Go To Channels Page" link in the Masthead https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com
If your post is about cooking, head to the "Food: Recipes, Techniques, Show Us What You're Cooking" channel. Then, find the proper sub-channel: Beef, or Desserts, or Pork for instance. Whichever best fits your topic or question.
If your post is about a grill or smoker, head to the Grills, Smokers & Fuels channel. Again, find the best sub-channel; Gas, Charcoal, Pellets, Logs, Electric, etc.
If your post isn't about cooking, or cooking accessories, or food, or restaurants, etc, we have a General Discussion (Off Topic) channel. This is only for non-food, non-cooking, non-gear, talk. Music, cars & trucks, pets, vacations, for instance.
Enter (click on) the channel/sub-channel you need. You'll now see a list of all the other posts (topics) in that channel.
Notice the red +New Topic button (red arrow), toward the upper-left. This is how you create a new post. If you do not see this button, you may be in a channel in which you cannot create new posts, such as our Announcements, BBQ Cartoons, PitCast, and other staff-only channels. Even in these channels however, you can make replies and comments on existing topics. The green arrow shows you what Channel you're in. The blue arrow shows you the "breadcrumb", or trail/pathway that you've followed to get where you are.
Type the Title of your post or question in the top box (green arrow).
Type your main message in the larger box (red arrow).
When finished, click the red Post button in lower-right (blue arrow) to submit your post and make it live for all to see.
