Like what Mudkat said. It looks like a ship / submarine yard.

Purchased this tank along with 30 other smaller ones. Trailer above is a 1000 gallon. This tank is a 2000 gallon. Stack size will be around 12-15" diameter. Will know next thursday if I have a green light to build it. If not I will cut it in half and build 2 big pits.

The potential owner wanted to know how much capacity, so I did some calculations. It will run 4 racks in each door. About 28m2 of cooking space (43,400 sq inches). About 5-600 pork butts at once. (Have to use a cement mixer to pull that much pork!)

Awesome build. You have some great fab skills. I really like the warming box or rib box or whatever you call the chamber above the firebox. I didnt notice any baffles between the 2 so it maybe just add cook chamber. Hope ya dont mind me thinking of using that design on my next build myself. I havent fully decided if my next build will be a T design with the firebox under the CC or a traditional offset. If i build the T design I will make the baffle plates / reverse flow plates pull out the ends so I can use them as charcoal grates for grilling as well. Plus it would make them easier to clean. Once i get everything saved up to do the build I will have to make a thread build for it.

A 1000 gallon pit? Good luck pulling greasy RF plates out of a 1000 galllon. They are a meter wide.. Depends how you design it, but 1000 gallon pits can be too long for RF .

Ahumadora no it is not a 1000 gallon. it is only going to be 8 feet long and 30 inches in diameter that i am turning into a cabinet style smoker. I am more interested in making a full size smoker almost as effecint as a UDS.

Ahumadora a good business adventure is only sucessfull if you have something everyone wants that no one else can imatate. I am sure if my design can produce great food and burn a quarter of the wood as a traditional offset I would be busier than a 1 legged man in an a** kicking contest. I have 30 years of welding and fabricating along with several fire science classes from being a Fire Fighter as well so I am pretty educated on how fire acts and burns. Plus designing and building a smoker.
