What size logs for M1

For those that have done stick burning on their M1/M36, what size splits did you use or would you recommend using? Planning on doing a stick burn tomorrow and I have some splits, but wondering if they are a good size or need to be split more.

Looks like you've gone almost a day with no commentary. I don't have an M1, but will suggest something somewhat general. Rather than starting with the typical 4-6" cross section most wood suppliers offer breaking them down into two or three smaller pieces might be a good place to start (depending on length that may need to be shortened too depending on firebox). It will make it easier to control temp by avoiding possible over fueling. If you find you have to load a lot of those smaller pieces during your first burn(s) then you can decide how big to divide to maintain temp and not spend too much time refueling.
