I decided to cook some ribs the other day and decided I had time to use all wood on the cook which I had never done before. Overall the cook went pretty good but it was a slight learning curve and I still need to make some changes. Here is the finished product.
To be honest, I really didn't have any real expectations about how the cook would go. I had read many posts on here and other websites about cooking with wood on this grill so I already had a plan. Most everyone had said to use smaller splits, leave all vents open, and control cooker temp with split size. That worked pretty good for the most part but I did have a couple of occasions where I had trouble starting the new splits maybe because my coal bed wasn't as big as it should have been.
