Recommendation Whole Hog buy in or near Chester County, PA

I am looking for a recommendation for whole hog sales near Chester County, Lancaster County, Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, South Jersey or Delaware.

    TIA!

Can't give you location-specific advice. Look for heritage breeds, even if a bit more expensive.

I buy mine from Great Expectations farm near Federalsburg, MD. Might be a bit far for you, but always top quality product, straight from the farm. Let me know if you can't find contact info. I know they are on FB.

Go to the forums at http://largeblackhogassociation.org and look in the for sale section. I have a couple ready to go but Georgia is a bit far...

Isn't your area Amish country? A google search for "Amish butcher in Lancaster PA" brings up a number of hits...

www.localharvest.org will help you find a local farmer. Also check Craigslist for 'pigs' or 'hogs'.

La Divisa Meats might be able to help. They are here in Philly at Reading Terminal Market, but get all their meat from local farms.

When I go to Bucks Co I hit up Haring Brothers in Doylestown. You can order a pig from them 100%. My buddy used to do a pig for 4th of July every year before he moved.

Haring Brothers is a full-service country butcher shop offering a wide variety of quality meats including fresh beef, veal, lamb, poultry, fowl, and seafood.

I’m not sure if they do whole hog / I never asked for it...but I get my pork belly from Stoltzfus Meats in Intercourse ( Eastern Lancaster county).
