Totally agree on Fleischers. They also can deliver into NYC and Brooklyn periodically during the week for any city rats!

I've been a customer of Fleischer's since they opened and can say that they are awesome. They also have a store in the Park Slope section (192 5th Ave) of Brooklyn. The original founder, Joshua Applestone, has left the business to start another commercial/wholesale meat venture, Applestone Meat, near Stone Ridge.

The best meat I have ever cooked has all come from Fleischer's. My favorite has been their thick cut pork chops which are cut from Berkshire pigs.

Absolutely! Fleischer's is the A #1 go to butcher here in the Hudson Valley. I live here and know them well. There is Nothing this butcher will not or cannot do for you if it is possible on the planet Earth!

I live near Syracuse, New York. After searching long and hard for a butcher who would provide me with a cut called "navel," (used for pastrami), I found a fantastic butcher in Kingston, New York called Fleischer's Pasture-Raised Beef. I received incredible customer service and ordered 2 navels. Even though it was a 150 mile drive one way, it was worth the trip. The folks at this shop indicated that they would provide me with whatever I needed! Their list of products is long and extensive.

One real bonus about this butcher is that they offer a variety of "butchery" classes!

Hope this is a good lead for some folks living in New York.
