Gotta love a local grocery store....Family owned...in the middle of the block...All shopping is on a first name basis. Ed and his family literally have been a life savers for a neighborhood. I always tell them, If they sold beer and wine, I'd never have to leave the block. This is my shout out to a great local treasure.

Very nice. I remember when I was young, we had a butcher at our local market, "Palms Market". He knew all the ladies and called them by their married names. "Hello Mrs. Richardson, what can I get for you today". Loved going in there and looking at the meats. Would always get a piece of beef jerky to gnaw on while shopping with mom.
Thanks for rekindling that fond memory for me.

I wish I had something like this. When I first bought my house there was a little corner store two blocks away. Not big enough to carry everything you needed, but a little better than a 7-11. They closed up not long after we moved to the neighborhood (I swear I use deodorant). Now I have to go a couple of miles for groceries. I frequent mom and pop hardware stores for this reason.
