Hi geotek230 ! Where do you source your meat and your wood in the GR area?! I love going up to Bird Farm Meats in Howard City... but am in the process of looking around the local butcher shops!

Never mind, I see lots of Weber's. Good stuff.

HawkerXP I cook most often on my BGE because the temp control is so versatile... easy to hold low 'n slow in a Michigan winter and just as easy to crank to 700+ F for a good sear. Next up is my Weber Kettle, because I figure that it is cheating to use the BGE all the time

Belated welcome to the Pitmaster Club from a couple hrs NE of you near Clare! Happy you've joined up, thanks for your support.

Since you’re new here, please check out our homework assignment post for new members, it contains a few how-tos and please-dos. This will help you learn your way around so you can get the best experience from our forum.

Also, it's very important that you:

You currently cannot change your email on file with us yourself since it’s tied to your Pitmaster Club account as well as our payment processor if you’re a paying member. klflowers that's my guy, you must be a real detroiter! I grew up in metro Detroit. Lafayette can't be beaten... gimme 2 heavy heavy's with fries and a coke any day.

Every year growing up my dad would take me to a Tigers game and we would finish the day at Lafayettes... love it. Last time I was in Detroit was for a wedding... I made my wife uber with me to Lafayettes at 2am to give her the full experience. No alcohol was involved

Yeah, we used to go to the old Tiger stadium a lot. They had great dogs there too. I went to Cass Tech, and we used to skip class and walk down to Lafayette. Don’t tell my mom.

Jfrosty27 ... it is already happening, and has been for a while. I figure that I NEED
                  - Large gas grill (for big cookouts, which I seem to have a lot of)
                  - A beast of a smoker (I use my BGE for this purpose currently)
                  - A stick burner (TBB - To Be Bought)
                  - Trusty charcoal Kettle (my Webber kettle, obviously)

                  Now I think I need:
                  - Santa maria style grill
                  - Pizza oven, capable of 1000F plus
                  - Smoker for large quantities of me (likely an offset smoker)

Oh no, SWMBO is going to be unhappy...
