Taking that first big step. Everett WA

Greeting and Salutations. Posting here to introduce myself. I am recently Retired Navy Stew Burner cooking for the world's finest Sailors for over 25 years. I was stationed in Japan for just over 17 years so many of my recipes have an Asian flare...thanks in part to my wife and her amazing original marinades. In my retirement I have taken taken up the backyard BBQ Which I love but, it is hard for me to cook for just my family and not 1500 of the Nation's best. I am still learning the low and slow in and outs and hope to learn from everyone here. My equipment: Napoleon Rodeo Pro Cart with SNS and a Pit Barrel Jr. I am currently looking at the PK 360 as my next step. Thanks for hearing me out and I here's to a beautiful future.

Well, I was goin to say, who gives a rip about Washington, but then that wouldn’t be cordial or polite to a new member, so I won’t say that. But I will say you cook some mighty fine lookin food, you’ll be a very good addition to our collection of Pit people, yessir. Welcome, eat food & have fun!

Welcome from Bothell/Snohomish! And like Rick said, if you are needing to feed more people to feel satisfied, I will offer myself and family up as tribute.

My wife really enjoys sushi, is your wife working as a chef around here? I look forward to learning from you.

Thanks! I will keep that in mind. She hasn't worked in a restaurant since we moved to the States however, she does make sushi at the Central Market a couple days a week because she wanted to learn American style Rainbow rolls and such.

Greeting and thank you. Your older brother retired at the same rank as I did. I started out a MS then they changed our rate to Culinary Specialist CS. I retired CSCS. Sounds like your brother had a hell of a career. And thank you for your service.
