In the process of purchasing a Pit Barrel Cooker and ran across this site.....lots of good information so far. Never had a great deal of success with brisket and I hope the pit barrel cooker will make it fun again. I have been used a small Cookshack cooker for the past twelve years and I am ready for a change. Live in the Country on five acres with a large shop and lots of room to spread out - frig, freezer and water in the shop.....I always learn a lot when joining a forum regardless of the topic. Thanks in advance for the help and comments

Welcome! I've had my PBC since November and I love it. There is a little bit of a learning curve to it, but it is very, very shallow. Made my best pulled pork ever last night. I've almost got the courage to try a brisket on it during Spring Break in two weeks.
