Newish to barbecue and to the site. The only barbecue I ever had came from a crock pot until I took a work trip to St. Louis in 2017 and got the real deal at pappys smokehouse. I found this site and acquired a smoker the week I came back home and have been addicted ever since. I met meathead at the sous vide convention in Philly a few months ago and had to join the crew. This site is awesome. The sous vide que turkey recipe won me thanksgiving last year.
I use a Weber kettle with slow n sear and a masterbuilt electric smoker every free weekend I get. The masterbuilt broke last month which I’m not overly upset about. I turn 30 later in the year maybe the wife will let me get a Weber smokefire! I’m looking forward to joining the community and learning from yinz!
