In Tulsa, Oklahoma... home of the Hasty Bake. I was lucky enough to score a stainless model, from Craigslist, a few years back and love it! Has mostly been used for short smokes (whole yard-bird, baloney, spares, and such) as well as some reverse sear steak, burger, and thighs. Have been doing some longer and lower smokes on it lately, since I rigged up an ATC. Am currently focused on beef ribs, as I tried 'em for the first time a few weeks back and loved em... but I know I can do better.
The BBQ bug hit me when I was traveling the US for work many years ago. A bunch of construction workers, sitting in the motel for a month or more, waiting on a job to start... well cooking out and planning the meals is what you do. I picked up a trick or two, but still have much to learn.
