Welcome! You might get an argument around here about sauce. I personally love to sauce my BBQ, especially ribs and pulled pork. Sauce on the side it's not an appropriate substitute since sauce that had been cooked/set/caramelized on the meat has a very different (better) flavor than "uncooked' sauce on the side. At least I don't sauce brisket!
