    Hello from Southeast PA

    Howdy!

    Hung out with Meathead and few of the other pitmasters at the Sous Vide Summit this past weekend and figured I'd sign up and say hello! I'm Pete, but Meathead knows me as "Pineapple." I live in Pottstown, PA, which is about an hour northwest of Philadelphia.

    I'm not sure what things are celebrated vs. shunned in this forum, but I'll risk being ostracized by listing that I've got a GMG Jim Bowie pellet smoker and I love using it for smoking foods. All of the smoked foods I make at this point are sous vide'd at least one of the steps when preparing.

    Hope I have the opportunity to learn some fun stuff with the fellows of the group.

      Makes no differnce of the cooker, unless it’s cardboard. Then ya have trouble with all sorts of folks including the local FD. Welcome, eat good & have fun!

                  Welcome to the Pit from Dallas! We are more interested in what you are cooking and how than what you are cooking it on. Folks in the Pit tend to acquire MCS (More Cooker Syndrome). We all would like to try cooking on every type of cooker.
