Hi I go by mountainsmoker as I live just outside The Great Smoky Mountain National Park in NC. I have been using the Weber 22 kettle to smoke all types of meats for over 40 years. I am 66 now and bought my first one in the late 70's. I have belonged to a numerous number of barbeque organizations as I have moved around the country. First while as an officer in the Navy and then while working for my company. I thank you for letting me join temporarily and I will definitely join permanently Look forward to learning from you and being able to also help with my experience.

Current line-up of cookers: Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro, Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050, Blackstone ProSeries 4 Burner 36" griddle, Weber Smokey Joe.
I'm in a cabin near Gatlinburg right now, regretting the ribs I ordered at Jimmy's yesterday. In town for an AAU basketball tournament this weekend at the Rocky Top Sports World. Welcome to the Pit!

Well I guess a former AF enlisted man can welcome a Navy officer to the group. Especially if you were a flyboy. My dad went thru Annapolis but then flew 10 years for the AF. So Navy/AF is in our blood. Welcome to the Pit.
