    Joining from New Hampshire

Just found this forum. Looking to learn more about smoking on my PBC which I bought myself for Fathers Day this year. So far ribs have been terrific, though some broke off into the coals before they were done. Looking to do my first turkey. Love to learn so this will be fun exploring the topics posted here.

Welcome to the pit. I also reside in New Hampshire. PBC cookers are great and you will get the hang of it. Lots of very knowledgeable people here to help!

Welcome from Colorado. On my PBC, I never cooked more than three racks at a time, so I simply cut each rack in half to reduce the weight and used 6 hooks (never lost one). If you must cook whole racks, buy yourself an extra set of 8 hooks and double serial-hook them to reduce the chance of any dropping off.

Welcome!! I recently saw a pic of stuff hanging in the PBC that had a hanging hole drilled in the bone. Consider that? Have fun here (you will - it can't be avoided).
