Hey everyone. My name is Nick, and I'm from the metro Detroit area. I'm fairly new to grilling/smoking, but have been really happy with my first two big purchases: the Meathead cookbook, and an Oklahoma Joe's Longhorn combo grill/smoker. My three favorite things in this world are bbq, bourbon, and cigars.
I'm excited to learn and interact with this awesome community! Thanks for having me!

Welcome from Western Mass. Spent a lot of time in S.E. MI. 2004 to 2008. Client was a auto maker located on the Detroit River. REN CEN. Marriott and Livonia Marriott were home. Detroit Metro gets its rap. I always enjoyed it. Greektown, MGM Casino just to name a couple.
If you're not busy Sunday I'll be grilling at the VFW Bruce Post on Jefferson. There is a car show there that day to benefit the Veterans Pantry at Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154. Grilling hot dogs, hamburgers, and tomorrow i am smoking 40# of pork butt for pulled pork. I'll be introducing the '154 Burger' which is a burger with pulled pork on it. Stop by and say hi if you get a chance. I'll be the hyperactive guy behind the grill.
