    Greetings from Missouri

Hi all. Bought my first kettle grill a few weeks ago, which was followed by a grand realization that I needed practice / help, which was quickly followed by purchasing "Meathead". (I know that sounds like an infomercial, but it's not...promise.

At the moment, I'm getting by with my makeshift slow n sear (bricks) and keeping kettle temps with a thermometer with a sticker that says "not for grill use".

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello. here are some first tries and experiments.

Huntington Beach welcomes you and your kettle. Nice job. Don't worry about the sticker, they didn't mean it.

Yeah, the probe being "not for grill use" is for a chuckle. My wife bought it for me to encourage me in my grilling. I said that it was just what I needed and thanked her dearly. It works fine as long as the probe cable stays on the outside.
