    May I please ask you. Have you heard of something like this? I'm told it's pronounced something like (not spelled but pronounced) "Ha Loo Ski."

        Yes, it is one of the traditional dishes in Czech and Slovak republic. There is an article on wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halušky
        The pronounciation would be like halooshky 😀.
