Hi all, Thanks for all of the kind words. I thought I did an intro when I signed up some months ago...Hmmmm maybe there was wine involved....

    Mmmm honey!

Were you aware that locally made honey can cure allergies - espeically in pets.

Went to the vet for skin issues on my Border Collie and was told to try local honey first - had to be made within 50 mile radius of where we lived.

Sure enough it worked and it wasn't hard getting the dog to take it.

    Anyway - welcome and cheers!

started a topic Hello from the Chicago area.

    Hello from the Chicago area.

I work in the city but "live" in the country. Every Friday after work we head 2 hours west to a beautiful (but modest) country home. We raise honey bees and have a substantial garden. My wife grows 15-20 different kinds of exotic peppers.

I have studied culinary arts for many years but have found this form of cooking to be one of the most humbling. After much practice I can say I am developing my own style and flavor profiles. Always learning and having fun with it though.
