as an update to the original post, the wife didn't want to wait so she ordered the PBC plus a bunch of the accessories.
It arrived last weekend and we christened it with a 3 pack of spare ribs so we could try out different types of rubs that would fit best into her Paleo/Whole30 eating plan.
we also got a new Char-broil Performance 4 burner grill to replace the old rustbucket

PBC is a good start for a low budget cooker. I would add the 22" Weber kettle. The footprint is small, you can cook for 2 or 20, and you set yourself up for versatility on the cheap in the near future (I have the SnS and the rotisserie rig for the kettle).
