Hi guys! New to The Pit and excited to read through these posts.
I have been an avid griller over exclusively charcoal for the last 7-8 years and after my gas grill almost burned my house down (100% my fault because I didn't clean the grease trap, and we had a pretty good fire). Since that day I committed to going solely charcoal and haven't turned back. Love the Weber kettles and have used my performer to grill and smoke all kinds of things. Just purchased a 26" kettle after seeing one in a local store and couldn't believe the difference in size. It definitely will be my go-to for family gatherings.
What got me hooked on this site, was all the valuable information for turning my kettles into smokers pretty easily, which opened a ton of new doors for my weekend cooking.
So thanks guys and appreciate the support!
