    Hello from NW Washington

Hello, I'm Dustin from up near Bellingham, WA. I'm an international tax CPA by day, and have been spending my free time since Christmas with my nose in "The Food Lab" and more recently "Meathead". I enjoy hamburgers, hiking, soccer, and road cycling. I'm recently married, and as a result have had less time for road cycling, but my wife shares my passions for hamburgers, hiking, and soccer. (Go Sounders!)

My main hardware at present includes a Weber Spirit E-310, an Anova sous vide precision cooker, and a recently acquired Weber 22 inch kettle. Currently doing a dry run on the Weber kettle, trying to will the temperature down to 225. I've got a lot to learn!

I've been a lurker for a few weeks, so figured it was time to say hi!

Welcome from Colorado ... sounds like you've got a good start in the hardware department!

Welcome to the Pit!! We are happy to have you here! Sounds like you have been doing some quality reading. We are huge fans of the Slow N' Sear to help with fire management. This is a great tool for the Weber Kettle. Plus, you have all of us to help you learn!

Since this is your first post, please check out our homework assignment post for new members, it contains a few how-tos and please-dos. This will help you learn your way around so you can get the best experience from our forum.

Also, it's very important that you:

Give us an email address you actually use. You can check the email we have on file for you by clicking your name in the upper-right, then User Settings, then the Notifications tab. You currently cannot change your email on file with us since it’s tied to your Pitmaster Club account as well as our payment processor, Stripe. Don’t worry though, we’d be happy to change it for you. PM (private message) ”Huskee” with your email change request, or via email at huskee[at]AmazingRibs[dot]com.

Add the domain AmazingRibs.com to your email safe list. We NEVER spam! This is important to receive notices about your account, such as if you’re up for renewal or are ever drawn as our monthly Gold Medal Giveaway winner, which is open to all USA members or those with a USA delivery address (we’d hate to have to pick another person because you don’t answer us)!

Thanks! The Slow N' Sear Plus will be my next BBQ purchase! I've done what I can from the homework assignment for now, and will keep the link handy going forward. Cheers.

Welcome! My best friend from college works in Bellingham. I need to get over there someday. You'll love the Weber with a SnS. It's amazing how much it helps. Show us some pictures of your efforts -- I love to get ideas for my next efforts from what I see on everyone else's grill!
