Howdy From Southern Maryland, Land of Pleasant Living

I love this website and the plethora of fantastic BBQ and grilling information built here by Meathead, a big SALUTE to him!
I've been smoke bbqing for lots of years for my family and friends using my old trusty Weber Bullet and a Treager Texas pellet smoker. Besides BBQing , I love to sing and play bluegrass music, drink good beer (non-light) and wear bib overalls so that makes me B4 I guess
I just sold the Traeger and am wanting to buy a good used Cookshack Amerique, so if y'all know where there's one for sale, please let me know.

Welcome. Cool looking little grill you're wanting. I like that Land of Pleasant Living, very Garrison Keillor-ish.

Welcome Steppy! Nothing wrong with bluegrass and beer. I can often be found with a little Ricky Skaggs on my radio and a beer in my hand.

To help you out with finding your Cookshack, try heading over to the For Sale or Trade channel, and making a post with the title "WANTED..." This will be the best option for you at the current moment.

In the meantime, here's some 'new member' homework for you:
When you get a minute check out Pit Boss' Welcome & Announcements channel, as well as the tips posts in that channel. These will help you learn your way around The Pit, as well as set up your signature (tip #1) with your equipment. There's also a post that explains the best way to post nice big pics here... we like to see bragging pictures of your equipment and your cooks. We look forward to hearing more from you! Enjoy

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

Napoleon’s 22″ Pro Cart Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It’s hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the 22″ Pro Cart a viable alternative.

Is This Superb Charcoal Grill A Kamado Killer?

              Our Favorite Backyard Smoker

The amazing Karubecue is the most innovative smoker in the world. The quality of meat from this machine is astonishing. At its crux is a patented firebox that burns logs above the cooking chamber and sucks heat and extremely clean blue smoke into the thermostat controlled oven. It is our favorite smoker, period.

              kamado grill
Built around SnS Grill’s patented Slow ‘N Sear charcoal kettle accessory, this 22-inch kamado is a premium ceramic grill that brings true 2-zone cooking to a kamado.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.
