Greetings y'all from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I am very new to smoking, but am learning weekly with every try - had some great successes and some not so great tries. It is a sweltering 40f today and I have baby back ribs on for the first time.
Before trying to hide the purchase of, I mean investing in, a high end smoker, I'm using a Dyna-Glo vertical smoker with an offset firebox. I have already modified it by putting firebrick in and using high-temp sealant around the door, thermometer, and joints that show leaks.
Glad to be a part of such a knowledgeable and resource-filled group.
