    Smoking in the Pacific Northwest

Found this site a while back and have really enjoyed it so I figured it was time to pay up. Looking forward to gleaning even more good tasting info.

I'm using a weber kettle and a weber Smoky Mountain cooker. I sure like the looks of that PBC barrel cooker, seems like that would be a nice size for some things I'd like to try.

The PBC does rock, I load that dude up with 4 briskets and go to down. Waiting for word on my next big brisket cook. If I can hook myself up with a kettle, I think I can load 6 in that dude, at least for the first 5.5-6 hours. Might be cooking brisket for 300 again. Most I've done is 5 at one time.

Welcome SS and thanks for the support! It looks like you already have your PBC cheerleaders egging you on. I don't think a bad decision can be made trusting the good folks here at The Pit.

When you get a minute, check out Pit Boss' Welcome & Announcements channel, as well as the tips posts in that channel. These will help you learn your way around The Pit, as well as set up your signature. There's also a post that explains the best way to post nice big pics here... we like to see bragging pictures of soon-to-be-expanded lineup of equipment and your cooks. We look forward to hearing more from you! Enjoy!

Welcome to the Pit. It's good to see some other NW smokers show up, we're a bit under-represented.

I've got a PBC, and simply love it! All my smoking prior to buying it was cold smoking, mostly salmon, or home-made sausage. Trying to do SL ribs on a gas grille, even following the excellent suggestions on AR, was not acceptable. The order for the PBC went in before those racks were eaten.
