I got into outdoor cooking about 3 years ago during an unplanned year between jobs. This is when I discovered Amazing Ribs. Good news is I'm back to work and have a delicious new hobby. Used info from this site to make some awesome steaks, moved on to chicken recipes and never looked back. Thought it was time to anti up and join the group, the money I was saving on not ruining food has more than offset the cost of annual membership. My wife would rather have me make a couple of $10 steaks at home than go out for a $100 dinner, and that is great by me!
I bought a Weber Spirit gas grill, would have liked to get something nicer, but the price/quality/value equation looked good while out of work. Since than I have added 1/2 grillgrate and a couple of digital thermometers. It seems to do the job pretty well.
Anyway, looking forward to gaining knowledge and skills from all of you.
Happy tom
