I have been using Meathead's recipes for years and getting all sorts of accolades from them. It only felt right to join The Pit and help give back. This is a fantastic website and I reference it often. I have a pellet smoker that I love and am always looking for new things to try. It is to the point now that I have requests to cook for people for the holidays. I smoked turkeys last Thanksgiving and Prime Rib last Christmas for people that have enjoyed my BBQ.

Welcome, San Antonio visit is one of my best memories ever! While I got pooped on by a bird down on the river walk, I was on my way from the hotel to go golfing 18 holes at the quarry. Wore out from a long hot day the company said they were buying dinner, supposed to be the best steaks ever, which I have heard about every steakhouse ever. Big ribeye from Bohanan's, to this day the best steak I have ever had. Kids and wife aside, best day ever.

Grill: Traeger Texas Grill (pellet smoker)
Thermometer: Thermapen (Red)
Leave in Thermometer: 2 probe wireless (rebranded Maverick?)
Military brought me here in the early 90s. Being from Florida I didn't think I was going to like it. Well, 20+ years later and I am still here. Jerod - My daughter and Son in law are both graduates of Texas State. Getting ready to do 2 turkey breasts for tomorrow using the Simon and Garfunkel rub. One for me and one as a request for someone who can't eat red meat.
