Hello from St. Louis, Mo (actually, from the IL side of the river)

Even though I have been trying techniques, recipes and purchasing equipment through this site for several years I would still consider myself a novice because I have not committed the time until recently to achieve consistency that I am looking for. I have an old Weber Genesis gasser with Grill Grates for grilling and an even older Weber kettle which has been recently upgraded from a somkenator to a SnS and have been using a bbq Guru. I have produced excellent meat on the old leaky kettle (ribs, salmon, turkey breast and a pork butt) by using the advice of this sight but need to upgrade to a newer one while honing some prep techniques. I also use the Thermapen and the Maverick ET-732 religiously while cooking.

You certainly have all the tools. Hard to beat GrillGrates. Love them things on my little Weber.

              Thanks for the support!!!
