I'm a hobbiest. I designed a custom pit using the Lang hybrid as my model, but with a few modifications. Found someone west of San Antonio that agreed to build it. Picked it up 11/21/15 and seasoned it the next day.
This is my first serious pit. All previous models since we moved here in 1994 have been cheap offset smokers and probably cost just as much as a heavy-duty pit if all costs were combined. I'm done with the COS.
My wife said I can have the left side to smoke meat, and she reserves the right side to grill. Fair 'nuff, right?
