    Welcome from upstate NY! I used to have a kamado in my arsenal. I purchased it to combat the cold Winter where I live. I have since sold it and purchased Shirley Fabrication Patio Model to satisfy my wood burning desires. Post oak is not so easy to come by up here, but I have access to other types of oak and other hardwoods. I still have my trusty Weber Performer for smaller cooks. I look forward to seeing your posts & sharing information with you
