    Greetings from NC

Hi! I have been using the info on this site for a good while now and decided to become a member (just trial for now but will probably end up purchasing anyways). I am in the western part of NC.

I have had a BGE for about 17 years (all original except the firebox and the shelves/hinges that were recently replaced...and the base that is now cracked 😬). I shamefully have pretty much just winged it for about 15 - 16 of those years, and granted some things I have been great at for a long time, like fish, but I wanted to be better at the long BBQ cooks and ended up on this site and it has been a downward (upward?) spiral since then!

I am actually about a few days away from ordering a new grill/smoker that I found on this site which is the M Grills M1. I have always been a BGE fanboy, but after reading so much about other types of cookers and realizing some of the limitations myself I decided I wanted something a little different (don't worry other BGE fanboys mine will still be put to good use). I do t have a lot of room but wanted a stick burner and grill combo and the M1 fits the bill so I am looking forward to that!

Hopefully one day I will be a BBQ wizard and be able to help others too, but for now I continue to sponge the endless knowledge.
