    Bracing For Winter

My name is Geoff I live in NH and have been looking at this site for several months. I use a BGE XL for my smoking as well as a weber kettle.

Welcome and thanks for the support!! That BGE must rock when the mercury drops.

Welcome. The BGE is a good cooker to have when winter rolls around.

Welcome to The Pit ar15203/Geoff! Glad to have you here. Sometimes I really wish I had a kamado during winter. I've been eyeballing the Primo Oval XL for a few years now.

Welcome to the Pit! I have a BGE large but our tempts don't drop like yours. Low and slow is never a challenge no matter what the outside temp, but when the temp is 95+ and the humidity is 95+ sticking with it when grilling can be a challenge. I love the taste and ease of low and slow. My favorite is Boston Butt. What's yours?

Welcome from the Canadian Prairies! I am also bracing for winter, charcoal goes much, much faster when it is -30 and blowing snow!

It's always nice to have another Egghead in the Pit.👌

I can relate to the Canadian Prairies bbqoaf, I cindered 3 racks of ribs on a sub zero Sunday. The grill turned into a torch in just a few minutes. Definitely a different technique compared to a July afternoon!

Welcome, I don't get to use my little kettle often enough, but I just through some meat on there 10 minutes ago. Poor thing felt left out.
