    Another new old guy.

    I have been smoking and grilling for decades, yes I am that old. Wore out one of the Original Traeger grills. Fell into a screaming deal on a Mak 2 Star a couple years ago. As well as the usual assortment of Webers, gas grills and the fall, winter brushfires for open flame cooking goodness. I made the mistake of showing my wife a Big Green Egg, marital threats were made and comments of sleeping in the shop were heard. I am always looking for ways to improve my techniques and of course that still elusive ultimate recipe for whatever.

        Welcome. You’ll fit right in here. We all get the threats from our significant others whenever another cooker is brought up……. 🤣😂

            Futon'd be my first choice: fold up, can still use yer shop.

            Cots can be a right treat, on a tired an weary back, GI Hilton, purty much.

            Hammock's are harder on an older man's back, but still, a worthy consideration.

            Wads of hay, in th barn, can come in a close fourth.

            Field Jacket, an/or poncho on th ground makes fifth place.

            Sixth'd be same, minus Field Jacket, or poncho.

            Seventh be bout same same, minus th ground;

            jus mud, slime, shite, or either large, sharp rocks, or sand.

            YMMV

            Sweaty Paul Trundle beds? Yer right, Brother... Oops...

            With 11 kids in our family, an 2 bedrooms, we had them there kinda thingys...

            Only, we called it 'th hardwood floor underneath th bunk bed'...

            Probly an obscure, archaic, geographically specific terminology...

                Welcome from Chicagoland. Is the shop big enough for the three essentials: bed, fridge, phone?
