Welcome and thanks for the support!!
I'm 3 hours from Lone Star Grillz. Haven't took the plunge, yet.
Love my gasser with Grill Grates (upside down). The grates not the gasser.

Hi all,
After several years of reading the public pages, I decided to take the plunge and join the club. I have loved grilling and smoking since I was a kid, when after one too many broiled, well-done steaks I asked my mom if we could get a grill. Once we got one I took over steak duties and the rest is history. Buying Steven Raichlen's Barbecue Bible in 1998 also was a game changer, as it opened up a world of live fire cooking beyond burgers and hot dogs. Aaron Franklin's book inspired me to try all wood cooking and Meathead's book also has been a great help to me in refining my outdoor cooking skills.
Over the years I have had a number of gassers, and currently have a Napoleon Prestige 500, which is a great grill from a great company, but my pride and joy is my Lone Star Grillz 20x42. It replaced a cheap Barbecues Galore store brand offset that I had for years. I also have a Weber Smokey Joe for beach trips. Other BBQ toys include the Fire board 2 with a Pit Viper fan, and a Thermopop. I also have a fire pit that came with a nice grill grate and have had fun cooking on it. Basically if you can burn a fire in it I will cook on it.
My cooking interests run the gamut from traditional low and slow barbecue to rotissing a whole lamb. My immediate goals are to up my brisket game and find the perfect steak technique. I look forward to learning from everyone on this forum, and sharing my limited knowledge with all of you.
Regards,
Steve
