Baker Dan you can store the firebox and controller inside the cook box.

I clean mine after every use and store it inside. Once you take the door off, it is really easy to clean up like brand new.

I did store it out side for a while, it is just fine in the elements. I am sure a WSM cover would work fine.

Store the control box inside though.

I have a couple of those 19" Stanley plastic toolboxes. All the stuff (eg controller, thermometer) for the KBQ in one; all the stuff (eg SMOBOT, BBQ Dragon) for the BGE in the other. Store on a shelf in the garage.

It fits pretty well when you remove the firebox. I could do without the branding, but i just put that side against the wall. Otherwise it feels like a quality cover.
