Just fired up my RF smoker

This is #3 that I've built. I fired it up today and wiped it down with oil on the outside to season it and to prevent rust. Checked temps in 5 places, everything looks good. Gonna sell it tomorrow.

I was thinking it will be a shame to see it go. But I guess you can just build another one! Very cool looking unit.

Nice work! What gauge steel do you use?

Thanks, I use 4 and 5 mm. Most material is 5 mm, but the cylinder is 4.

That's not the one you were going to send me for testing? Wait, that must have been that dream I have been having..

Is it just me, or did anyone else come here expecting to see a "radio frequency" smoker... I get it was used for Reverse Flow, but when I first clicked, I was thinking a remote radio controlled smoker, and wondering what I was going to see.

Henrik - Great looking smoker - hope you sell it to a good home, and make a nice profit.

Now that's an interesting idea - might conjure up some electronics gizmo that can do just that and sell it as an add-on :-)

Henrik the way you had it wired up with Fireboard probes, it was pretty electronic for the test run you took pics of.

I had the same thought...too many acronyms/words used differently in different contexts...

Me too! Oh, Hell I'm already grown up. Damn - another wasted life!

I like to think I'm a fairly competent hobby welder. I can't hold a candle to you, Henrik. That's one fine job.

Well Huskee, I think shipping is completely gonna kill the deal. Otherwise it would be pretty awesome to build you one!
