Just got back home from Punta Cana, DR. Check out these cool cookers they used at my resort for the daily lunch BBQ.

They are calamari rings, they were delicious!

Interesting set up.
Sadly food in the DR is too hit or miss, mostly miss.
I gave up on the DR 30 years ago because the food sucked at the majority of resorts, my wife hung on for a few girls trips till about 6 years ago but gave up on it too.
And its not that we/she stayed at slums for resorts either, beaches and weather can't be beat but we won't be going back anytime soon.
We're Jamaicaites now, jerk chicken, rice n peas with oxtail baby....

With the exception of one meal, the food we had was great! Jamaica is on our future Caribbean destination list as well.
